McCallie 1927 “Carter Trophy” Saber & Scabbard – One Side has the words “U.S. Captain (name hidden for privacy) Excellence in Military Work” displayed within the artwork. Near the hilt on the same side is inscribed “U.S Army REGULATION Made in the U.S.A.” On the other side of the sword, the words “E. PLURIBUS UNUM” and “Carter Trophy Presented By J.A. Carter Major McCallie Battalion 1927” are displayed within the artwork. Near the hilt on the same side is inscribed “The LILLEY-AMES CO. Columbus, Ohio.”
